摘要
The "Kosovo Lignite Basin" with a length of 85 km from North to South, an East to West-extension of around 10km and more than 10,000 Mt inventory is one of the largest lignite deposits in Europe. Exploitation started in 1922 within the northeastern part, where the overburden load is low. After 44 years, the last underground mine was closed as this technology has been replaced by open pit mining This more effective technology with much higher capacities was developed in the early 1960's to cover the growing demand (up to 4 Mt/year) created by starting the "Kosovo A"-Power Plant. Remains of this old underground mines were found by open pit mining and needs to be considered by actual mine planning. Herewith modern electrical control and automation tools/systems will be presented and discussed actually used for mining and stockyard equipment, automatization and coal quality management. This paper describes technical requirements and parts/units available at the market as per actual equipment standard. Thus, the purpose of the paper is to propose a model for Central Control Room-CCR system in mine automation process. All these components installed for a complex operation management are connected to a central control room for monitoring. This is the basis for immediate handling by the operation personnel to ensure coal supply amount and agreed quality for the consumers.
