Evaluation the Importance of ISO Standard Management for Sustainable Development in the Circular Economy Context

This paper aims to assess the importance of international standards for sustainable development (SD). Sustainability requires effective resource use so that future generations have the same opportunities. Organizations are committed to doing so, doing more and more. The tools adopted by organizations for sustainable development are multiple, including ISO standard management. Using sustainable development tools can lead to high costs, but long-term efficiency may be important. In this regard, the paper evaluates the main international standards that contribute to the sustainable development of organizations, evaluates the implications of sustainability in the context of the circular economy and identifies key elements of SD and ISO standard management. At the end of the paper are presented the findings of the research.
