A STUDY ON PLASMA PARAMETERS OF He AND Ne-He NANOSECOND PULSED LONGITUDINAL DISCHARGE FOR HIGH-TEMPERATURE LARGE-VOLUME TUBE

摘要
Determination of gas and electron temperatures of high-temperature large-volume nanosecond pulsed longitudinal discharge, using two different constructions developed for high-power middle infrared He-SrBr2 laser, is made. Assuming that the gas temperature varies only in the radial direction, analytical solution of the steady-state heat conduction equation is found at uniform power input and for each discharge tube construction. A line-ratio method of optical emission spectroscopy is used to determine experimentally the average and time-resolved electron temperature in the discharge afterglow, using measurement of the relative intensities of some He and Ne spectral lines, originating from different upper levels. Average values of the electron temperature are also found by averaging the electron temperature time-resolved electron temperature over the time.
