Contribution of dental amalgam in mercury urinary excretion in children

摘要：
Approximately 50% of dental amalgam is made of mercury. In children, these fillings represent a potentially worrisome source of mercury exposure. This study establishes a direct association between urinary mercury concentrations, the quantity of amalgam placed, and the date of placement. It also indicates that girls have a superior clearance capacity.
