摘要
The aim of the European Union to guarantee the highest standard of food safety shall be realized by passing 80 additional regulations within the next two years. The obligation to quantitatively declare either name giving or assessing ingredients has already been implemented. The labelling of allergens shall be pushed ahead, the 25%-regulation for compound ingredients with denomination shall be cancelled. Furthermore the labelling of the country of origin is under discussion. The relevant labelling regulation in Switzerland could serve as specimen. As far as genetic labelling comes up for discussion, both manufacturing process and indication of origin could be regarded as to provoke the labelling requirement. The discussion about health claims is controversial; CIAA has submitted a coder for the use of health claims. The amendment of the contaminants regulation is still under discussion. Finally, the European Commission has introduced a proposal for a framework legislation for food law on European level.
