摘要：

A simple and efficient method has been developed for the synthesis of 4-aryl-3,4-dihydropyrimidin-2(1H)-thiones from methyl 3-oxopentanoate, aldehydes and thiourea in the presence of a catalytic amount of Ni loaded SiO2 at room temperature.
