Application of Expected Utility to Business Decision Making Under U-Number Valued Information

摘要
Many real-world decision problems appear in some kind of "usual" situations. This is related to combination of fuzziness and probabilistic uncertainty of information, referred to as bimodal information. Aliev proposed the concept of U-number as a special case of Z-number, to form a new bridge to the concept of usuality of Zadeh. In this paper we consider application of expected utility to business decision making under information described by U-numbers. The obtained results correspond to human intuition-based decision making.
