摘要
Scientists from Korea, Japan, and the United States met on 17-18 May 2004 for the Second International Workshop on Next-Generation Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP) Models to discuss the impact of recent developments in modeling for next-generation, high-resolution NWP models, and to exchange ideas for improving the prediction of high-impact weather. Participants discussed the progress in the understanding of the physical parameterizations and the outcome of collaboration between the Laboratory for Atmospheric Modeling Research (LAMOR) and U.S. groups for the past three years. Problems with physics parameterizations in the models were also outlined.
