摘要
Pink shrimp from each of two geographical regions (Thailand and Ireland) were frozen and either not irradiated or given doses of 1-5 kGy. Following irradiation the samples were stored for up to 28 days at - 20 degrees C after which the cuticle was removed and analysed by ESR spectroscopy. The ESR signals derived from the irradiated cuticle of shrimp originating from both locations were similar in shape although signal intensity was significantly affected by geographical region, irradiation dose and storage.
