摘要
There are just a few instruments for evaluating anger in sports. The aim of this study was to collect the first psychometric data of Scale of Beliefs about Anger in Combat Sports. The sample was composed by 265 Mexican national selected sportsmen of five combat sports (boxing, judo, karate, wrestling and taekwondo) who responded to the scale. The factorial exploring data analysis yielded four factors with varimax rotation denominated: Wining sport anger expression, Sportsman' aggressive self-perception, Anger sport necessity for wining and Sport anger frustration. The internal consistency measurements were highly acceptable: (alpha = 0,914), the explained variance 55.65% and significant correlation among the factors were obtained, except with Sportsman' aggressive self-perception. The scale is a valid and reliable instrument for evaluating evaluates the belief about anger in sport performance among combat athletes.
