Spatial-temporal Changes of Snow Cover in Hulun Buir of Inner Mongolia

摘要
This paper analyzed the spatial and temporal changes of the snow cover area of Hulun Buir by using the MODIS snow products, which are synthesized by monthly maximum area from 2004 to 2014, through the study of the amount of snow in time and space changes. The results show that the largest snow-covered area in Hulun Buir is fluctuant, and the growth rate is 0.0174%. In time, the snow cover in a year presents skew distribution,and the interannual changing characteristic appears to multi-peak fluctuation; in space,the snow cover area are mainly distributed in the central and western regions in Hulun Buir, and in the eastern part of the Da Hinggan Mountains. The change of the snow cover in the eastern part of the Da Hinggan Mountains dominates the overall changes of the snow cover in Hulun Buir.
