A break of an avalanche and subsequent evolution of streamers are considered based on the earlier developed soliton approach to the problems of electric gas breakdown. Such an approach allows one to give a satisfactory explanation of the experiments on the spatial and temporal development of streamers. The author also gives estimates of a number of parameters introduced within the framework of the model; in particular, he estimates the avalanche and streamer masses, the avalanche capacity and bond energy.
