摘要
The paper refers to modelling of the composite steel-concrete joints behaviour. Issues related to the mechanics of joints in steel frame structures with composite floors are looked at. Practical rules of the joint mechanical properties prediction, such as stiffness and resistance are dealt with. In particular a theoretical basis of component method, included in European standards Eurocode 3 and Eurocode 4 is referred to. Research activities in the field of composite joints carried out in the last 15 years created a basis for a further development of structural analysis methods of composite semi-continuous frame systems. The research work undertaken at the Warsaw University of Technology utilizes the current advances in modelling of composite joints and aims at the development of a continuous stiffness degradation approach to analysis and limit state design of semi-continuous steel frames with composite floors.
