摘要
The Brief Illness Perception Questionnaire (Brief IPQ) provides a rapid assessment of illness perception. This study investigated reliability and validity of a Farsi version of the Brief Illness Perception Questionnaire (Brief IPQ). 300 patients with type I diabetes (128 males and 172 females) from Iranian Diabetes Society were asked to complete the Brief Illness Perception Questionnaire (Brief IPQ), and Psychological Well-being subscale of Mental Health Inventory (MHI). Also, HbA(1c) was obtained from laboratory examination. The results revealed good internal consistency, construct validity, and concurrent validity with other measures. The results showed that the scale has cross-cultural validity. (C) 2010 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
