摘要
Primary cervical lymphoma is extremely uncommon. We describe the clinical and magnetic resonance findings in a young patient with this condition at initial presentation and after treatment with chemotherapy. Magnetic resonance allowed a detailed evaluation of the initial anatomical extent and invasion of the tumour and contributed to the subsequent analysis of disease activity enabling management decisions to be made with greater confidence. Magnetic resonance is a highly effective tool for the diagnosis and follow-up of cervical lymphoma. Anatomical definition and staging is essential for the management of cervical neoplasia. In the last decade cervical carcinoma has been more accurately characterized by magnetic resonance than computed tomography, and more recently magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) findings in primary cervical lymphoma have been described. Central to the management of cervical lymphoma is a reliable means to monitor treatment outcome. A recent report describes MRI follow-up of a single patient with cervical lymphoma following chemotherapy. We report the use of MRI in a further patient with cervical non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and consider the potential role of this technique.
