摘要
We report on the structure and resistivity of a min size MgAlB4 single crystal (SC). The structure determined from SC X-ray diffraction is in very good agreement with that reported by Margadonna et al. [Phys. Rev. B 66 (2002) 14518]. The resistivity of the SC exhibited a Bloch-Griineisen-like temperature dependence and showed no transition to superconductivity down to 4.5 K. We report also on the structure, temperature dependence of resistivity and thermopower of polycrystalline Mg1-xAlxB2 with x around 0.5, prepared for comparison. (C) 2003 Elsevier B.V.
