摘要：
I report here on the current effort to provide the next generation of spectroscopically-confirmed white dwarf stars from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS). The new catalog is based on SDSS Data Release (DR) 7 data and includes new model fits applied to both the newly-identified white dwarf stars as well as those previously found in our earlier DR1 and DR4 catalog white dwarf stars. Thew new catalog includes nearly 20,000 white dwarfs of various types and represents the results of both automated and human inspection of over 40,000 candidates. The full catalog and author list is expected to be complete in late 2010.
