Application of simulation in multi-agent systems

摘要
The DIAMOND project is developing a DIstributed Architecture for MONitoring and Diagnosis, by which a flexible integration of a variety of M&D systems will be possible. The optimisation towards real-time operation of this multi-agent system and of its network depends on a large number of parameters and functional options. The simulation of the agents' behaviour and of their communication network plays an important part in the project aimed at fulfilling said objective. Virtual test bench simulators of two industrial applications will also be developed to provide the confidence on the system before its final demonstration by real test beds. Copyright (C) 1999 IFAC.
