摘要
In this paper we propose a novel structure for BICM-ID, where we intend to use multiple small-size channel codes to replace the single large-size convolutional channel code for iterative decoding. The small-size channel codes can be either convolutional codes or block codes. With this structure, we can save memory space and time slots for iterative decoding flexibly at the receiver. A general comparison of the soft-in soft-out (SISO) decoding complexity is also done between convolutional codes and block codes. Simulations show that the performance of BICM-ID with this structure is fairly good.
