摘要
The article presents the method of road safety system organization assessment in cities. The main idea of this method is the usage of entropic analysis in the solution of research problems. Information entropy is a measure of uncertainty and unpredictability of system functioning results. Therefore, it allows to quantitatively assess the quality of management of any city life aspect. In this article, by assessing of system entropy, we estimated dynamics of changes in road safety system organization of two biggest Russian cities - Moscow and St. Petersburg, in 2004-2017. It was established that the level of road safety system organization in Moscow and St. Petersburg has increased during the last 14 years. Comparison of entropy level of road safety provision systems of two Russian megalopolises allows to make a conclusion that level of organization of this system is slightly higher in Moscow than in St. Petersburg.
