摘要
This paper proposes an interleaved active clamp forward (IACF) converter having small primary conduction loss. Based on the conventional IACF converter, the components on one ACF module is re-arranged to employ the increased input voltage for high voltage gain. By achieving the high voltage gain, the proposed converter can significantly reduce the primary condition loss with large turns-ratio and the expanded duty ratio at the nominal input voltage V-nom. In addition, since there is no additional components, a power density cannot be a burden in the proposed converter although high efficiency is achieved. Finally, the validity of the proposed converter is confirmed by the experimental results of a prototype converter with 36-72 VDC input and 480 W (12 V/40 A) output.
