Synthesis and characterization of SnO2 nanorods

摘要
SnO2 nanorods with rutile crystal structure are synthesized by the reaction of SnO vapor with oxygen. The crystallinity and structure features of the nanorods were characterized by powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), selected area electron diffraction (SAED) and Raman spectrum. The results verify that the formation and growth processes of SnO2 nanorods are mainly determined by vapor-solid (VS) mechanism in low saturation situation. (c) 2005 Elsevier B.V.
