摘要
This contribution describes a section of the research activities of the chair technology of energy supply and energy conversion plants of the University of Essen, Germany, in the frame of an university network project supported by the provincial ministry for science and research. It contains the description of a combined cycle power plant concept with pressurised pulverised coal combustion and high temperature gas cleanup which is under development in germany. Results of total system analyses of this process in full load are represented. Beyond that, results of some sensitivity analyses are depicted and interpreted in order to visualise and explain the process characteristics. II is shown that the required cooling rate of the combustion chamber has an intense influence on the system efficiency. Furthermore, it is demonstrated that pressure losses caused by the gas cleanup in front of the gas turbine result in a rather moderate efficiency drop compared to those pressure losses that appear after the gas turbine which increase the gas turbine outlet pressure. It is also pointed out that a rise of gas turbine inlet temperature elevates the system efficiency clearly also with consideration of higher purity request of gas turbines medium what probably causes higher pressure losses.
