A VEP constitutive model with cohesion for sea ice dynamics

摘要
A viscoelastic-plastic(VEP) constitutive model considering cohesion for sea ice dynamics is adopted to simulate the sea ice ridging process. The cohesion is set up as a function of initial ice thickness, current ice thickness, temperature and salinity, respectively. This viscoelastic-plastic constitutive model is improved with the introduction of cohesion into the Mohr-Coulomb yield criterion. This model is verified with numerical tests of sea ice ridging.
