摘要
Highly resolved Direct Numerical Simulations (DNS) of channel flows over staggered arrays of wall mounted cubes are presented and discussed. Attention is concentrated on the spatially averaged mean velocity profiles and their implications for the log law. With an appropriate physically-based definition of the zero-plane displacement height, good log-law fits to the mean velocity profile can only be achieved if the von Karman 'constant', kappa, is allowed to vary with roughness morphology.
