摘要：

This article seeks to analyse the regulation of matrimonial property regimes in the European Union from a substantive and a conflict-of-laws approach. The current situation generates a conjunction of problems to the European Union citizens which have not been dealt with on a global level in a definitive way. As a result the last part will describe the future scenario in matters of matrimonial property regimes in view of the legislative actions of the European Union.
