Synthesis of methyl-N,N-bis(2-cyanoethyi)aniline catalyzed by AlCl3

摘要
In this paper, methyl-N,N-bis(2-cyanoethyl)aniline was synthesized by the reaction of o-methylaniline, m-methylaniline or p-methylaniline with acrylonitrile in the present of AlCl3 or AlCl3-ZnCl2. The experimental results proved that AlCl3 was an excellent catalyst, and AlCl3-ZnCl2 was better than AlCl3 in catalyzing this reaction, and the yields of m- and p-products were 92%similar to 94%.
