Research and Reform of the Training Mode of the Technology Oriented Talents - A Case Study of the Personnel Training Mode of "One Integration and N Wings" in Xijing University

The construction of the colleges and universities of the applied sciences is the inevitable trend of the popularized and diversified development of China's higher education, and is also the pioneering undertaking of the university education in the orientation of the grassroots, the industries, and social services. The key to the transformation of the newly established undergraduate colleges and universities to the universities of the applied sciences is to reform the training mode of the talents. From the perspectives of the guidance of the national policies, the needs of the economic and social development, and the fundamental targets of the teaching reform, this paper expounds the new demands of the reform the training mode of the personnel of applied technologies. Based on the researches of the current situations of the reform of the mode, the author interprets the "one integration and N wings" personnel training model with the unique characteristics in Xijing University. For the description of the model, we adopt the gradually increasing idea of "macroscopic view -> mediumscopic view -> microscopic view". It mainly involves the concepts of the cultivation of talents, the positioning of the training of talents, the construction of the curriculum systems, and the reform of the teaching models.
