Performance Analysis of uplink resource allocation in WIMAX

摘要
This paper presents the key design factors that must be taken into account when developing resource allocation algorithms. IEEE 802.16e standard does not include a scheduling algorithm for the uplink direction and it remains open for research and continuous improvement. Using OPNET, we investigate different factors that impact the UL resource allocation in WIMAX. Based on one of our previous papers developed in QualNet concerning the UL scheduling in WIMAX, a comparison between QualNet and OPNET will be done.
