Design and Analysis of Linear Switched Reluctance Motor with Coreless HTS Excitation Windings for Ropeless Elevator

摘要
A linear switched reluctance motor with coreless high-temperature superconducting excitation windings is proposed for a ropeless elevator system. In the proposed linear motor, the high-temperature superconducting tape is used instead of a copper wire and a mover has no iron core. The magnetic flux distribution, thrust, inductance, and iron loss characteristics of the proposed linear motor are calculated by using a FEM analysis and compared with that of a conventional linear switched reluctance motor for the ropeless elevator. The average thrust and iron losses of the proposed linear motor are larger and lower than the conventional linear switched reluctance motor, respectively.
