What is the relevance of polycentric metropolitan regions in business networks? The cross-border example of the Greater SaarLorLux Region

There are few questions about the economic relevance of the polycentric metropolitan regions which are multiplying all over Europe. Considering that it is essential to articulate the territories with the networks, we measure the position of the cities making up the metropolitan heart of the Greater SaarLorLux Region in a multiscalar space of companies. This analysis allows us to support the distinction between "local" and "global" metropolises as well as the relationship between the internationalization and regionalization of the business fabric in a cross-border context.
