摘要：

We investigate the distribution of the numbers x is an element of [1,p] for which a(1)x + b(1),..., a(s)x + b(s) (mod p) all lie in a subset N = {(ν) over bar (mod p): M < nu less than or equal to M + N} of the set of multiplicative inverses modulo a prime p. Here the a(i) are integers coprime to p and the numbers (a) over bar (1)b(1),..., (a) over bar (s)b(s) are distinct (mod p). (C) 2003 Elsevier Science (USA). All rights reserved.
