Effect of additives on magnetic and electrical properties of Z-type hexagonal ferrite

摘要
In this paper, we studied the magnetic and electrical properties of Z-type hexagonal ferrites (Co(2)Z). It was found that the ferrite with an excess of 2 mol%-BaO over stoichiometric composition surpassed the ferrite with stoichiometric composition in permeability. But the former exhibited low electrical resistivity, which is attributed to the increase of Fe 21 ion. It was found that the additions of two kinds of additives (Mn3O4 and Na2CO3) raised the electrical resistivity by suppressing the Fe2+ ion. As a result, the ferrite with both the high permeability of 15 and the high electrical resistivity of 10(3)Omega-m was successfully obtained.
