摘要
Capitalizing on the power of five decades of satellite observation, developments in the HDF5 format and growing computational capacities this research presents a software tool and methodological approach for time series data analysis and visualization using an example of a dynamic glacier environment. Changing glacier profiles have been presented. The strength of the software tool lies in extracting time series information from complex multi-source data and presenting it in graphical formats for easy comprehension of change over time. The tool is particularly powerful to support information extraction for resource exploration and management, environmental studies and ecological applications as well as investigating impacts of climate change.
