摘要
The paper aims to analyze strategies company owners have been deploying through public-private partnerships in order to define a excellence pattern in education in Para state, Brazil, especially in the case of Ayrton Senna Institute (IAS). Bibliographic and document analysis allowed us to understand how such a partnership has been established in Altamira, Benevides e Santarem, cities where the start of conclusion of the contract is quite similar, due to the city manager deciding for the partnership and for the submission to the demands posed by the private sector, as it is embodied by the Institute. From the carried out analyzes, it was possible to identify the introduction of a perverse market-driven logic in public schools in the cities partnered with the IAS. There were the misleading ideas of meritocracy and self-responsibilization of students and teachers in the success of pedagogical work and competition between school for notes, which shows how the public sector has become subservient to the private sector principles.
