摘要
hemostasis is an essential step in a surgical intervention. The management of bleeding during procedures have evolved, and recently involves a variety of hemostatic agents. Few case reports describe early postoperative small bowel obstruction after the use of hemostatic agents (mainly FloSeal, a gelatins-thrombin matrix). Our paper reports a case of early small bowel adhesion leading to obstruction after the use of fibrillar (re-generated oxidized cellulose), in an exploratory laparotomy for excision of a mesenteric vascular lesion.
