摘要
Peter Fifield's Modernism and Physical Illness shows how reading for the signs of illness can reinvigorate interpretations of canonical modernist literature. Focusing on how several well-known British modernists used experimental writing techniques to describe illness as both a personal and social phenomenon, the book adds to our under-standing of some major modernist texts while also providing valuable insight into the nature of illness more generally.
