Synthesis and luminescent properties of Rare Earth (Eu2+, Tb3+) doped Ba3(PO4)2 nanowires by chemical precipitation in nanochannels

摘要
Monodisperse nanowires and nanowire arrays of Ba-3(PO4)2 were synthesized by chemical precipitation method using anodic aluminum oxide template. Scanning electron microscope images indicated that Ba-3(PO4)(2) nanowires are parallelly arranged, all of which are in uniform diameter of about 50 inn. High-magnification transmission electron microscopy and selected-area electron diffraction images showed that the nanowires are single crystal structure. Excitation and emission spectra of the Eu2+ and Tb3+ doped Ba-3(PO4)(2) nanostructure were measured. The Eu2+ doped Ba-3(PO4)(2) nanowires can be excited by ultraviolet rays ranging from 350 nm to 380 nm, and Tb3+ doped Ba-3(PO4)(2) nanowires yield the characteristic green emission by excitation at 233 run, which show that these rare earth ion doped Ba-3(PO4)(2) nanowires may have promising applications in high performance nanoscale devices.
