Influence of Port Logistics Service Capability to Foreign Trade Size: Case Study in Ningbo

Since the world economy tends to integration, the development of foreign trade has become one of the focuses of China's economic development. As a basis of foreign trade activities, port logistics industry plays an active supporting role. This paper analyzed the impact of port logistics on the foreign trade in Ningbo and found out the intrinsic relationship between them, then provided new ideas for the development of Ningbo port logistics to help Ningbo's foreign trade developing well. This paper analyzed the effect of port logistics development on the development of Ningbo's foreign trade qualitatively, then summed up the mechanism between them. On this basis, we used Eviews software to analyze the relationship between port logistics and the development of Ningbo's foreign trade empirically. Research results show that there exists long term equilibrium relationship between the development of port logistics and the development of Ningbo's foreign trade. Finally, in view of the role of development of port logistics in promoting foreign trade in Ningbo, this paper offers some policy suggestions for the development of Ningbo's port logistics from the macroscopic and microscopic perspective.
