摘要
The onset of convection, heat and mass transports in anisotropic densely packed porous layer filled with chemically reactive binary liquid heated at the bottom in presence of Soret and Dufour effects is investigated. The Darcy model with anisotropy in permeability is used. Linear stability analysis is used to assess the inception of steady and oscillatory convection. The nonlinear stability analysis is done through truncated Fourier series method and the resulting fifth order Lorenz system is solved by Runge-Kutta fourth order method. The competition between thermal-solute diffusions, chemical reaction and cross-diffusions causes the instability via oscillatory mode instead of stationary. The influence of dissolution/precipitation of reactive component, cross-diffusions and anisotropy on the convection is explored. By the proper adjustment of underlying parameters the convection can either be delayed or advanced. Therefore, the present investigation forms a useful tool for regulating the onset of convection.
