This paper reports on a new species of mite of the genus Gaeolaelaps from Western Siberia, Russia, Gaeolaelaps hajiqanbari Joharchi & Nemati sp. nov. collected from soil of a salt marsh in vicinity of Omsk. The new species is described, and illustrations provided based on morphological characters of the adult female.
