摘要
To teach how to fishing is far more significant than to offer fish. Education should foster independent and autonomous learners since learning is a life-long thing. Based on a research through questionnaire, this paper aims to offer useful information about Chinese non-English majors' autonomous learning. Autonomy includes two parts, emotional attitudes and learning abilities, on which the questionnaire is designed and analyzed. This paper finds that Chinese non-English majors are generally self-confident in learning English well, but they are also suffering from many problems in formulating clear learning objectives, adjusting learning strategies to the changing situation and so on.
