摘要
A weighed local Small World Network for forest fires. A two-dimensional weighed-site model based on the Small World Network is proposed to study fire spread through homogeneous and heterogeneous media. It combines the regular network proper-ties for the whole system with the local Small World properties. First validated with various fire conditions for homogeneous media, it is then applied to heterogeneous media to illustrate its ability to provide realistic fire patterns. It is found that the density of active sites is a good measure of the Small World effect. (C) 2004 Academie des sciences. Publie par Elsevier SAS. Tons droits reserves.
