The Evaluation of Life Cycle Cost within Green Public Procurement of Sedans in Romania

This study contains an evaluation of the life cycle costs within green public procurement of sedans in Romania. The analysis of green public procurement was carried out taking into consideration the definitions given to this type of procurement by other authors and by the European Union. According to these definitions, life cycle cost is of a greater relevance than the purchase price. In this regard, life cycle costs for 3 of the best-selling sedans models on the Romanian market have been calculated: Ford Focus, Opel Astra J and Hyundai Elantra. After that, these costs have been compared with the purchase prices.
