The use of modern quantum-chemical methods in research was the topic of the ist 'Summer School in Computational Quantum Chemistry CQCS-98' held at the Centro Svizzero di Calcolo Scientifico (CSCS) from July 27-31 in Manno (Lugano), The focus of the summer school, organized by Hans Peter Luthi, was to provide 'hands-on' experience using a modern computational infrastructure.
