摘要
The need for reliable information for the monitoring of the targets of the Sustainable Development Goals is critical for the successful achievement of the Global Development Agenda. This research advocates for the achievement of the sustainable development agenda through interventions towards improving the capabilities of the entities within the national data ecosystem responsible for monitoring its progress and aims to strengthen the institutional capabilities of the entities responsible for informing the national progress in sustainable development through the introduction of Capability Maturity Models (CMM). More specifically, the objective of this research is to develop a multidimensional prescriptive CMM useful to assess and enhance the maturity of the organizations responsible for producing data for the SDG indicators within national data ecosystems. In this paper, we problematize a space where research and actions are needed and describe the design of the research being undertaken to address such needs.
