Systematic Literature Review of the Risk Management Process Literature for the Public Sector

This paper is the result of a systematic review via a qualitative exploratory research approach of the risk management literature on the tools, techniques, software models, and methodologies used in private or public organizations. Publications in academic journals, book chapters, and other scientific articles were analyzed to enable the identification and definition of the techniques and applications of software and methodologies developed and used by various institutions to assist in the risk management development process. Different resources for riskmanagement, such as agile and formal methods of management, were identified. It isworthmentioning that the revised tools, techniques, software, and methodologies were functional requirements for the later development of risk management software aimed at Brazilian public high-level educational institutions.
