摘要：
The survival of any nation or people is predicated on the level of development. Where the standard of living is low, the nation is at risk of total collapse. Home Economics education therefore is a vital tool which can be used to develop individuals. It is field where opportunities exist for gainful employment. The paper focuses on strategies for promoting employment opportunities for Home Economists. It highlighted the numerous job areas embedded in Home Economics education and as well as the challenges of preparing Home Economists for self employment/entrepreneurship. Suggestions were made on ways of promoting the opportunities.
