摘要
The paper gives description of a new fire detection method, the Image Fire Detection Method (IFDM). Based on radiation spectrum characteristics and image characteristics of early-stage fire's flame, IEDM can identify a fire by means of image processing and image analysis. Some experiments are done to test IFDM; all results are perfect and show that IFDM can detect a fire quickly and reliably.
