摘要
We measured gain spectra of highly uniform current-injection T-shaped quantum wire lasers and investigated the physics of gain-spectral-shape modulation due to strong Coulomb interactions by comparing current-injection and optical-pumping measurements and additional calculations including screened Coulomb interaction. We found remarkable features for current injection : redshifts and long high-and low-energy tails of the gain peak. These characteristic current-injection features were ascribed to band-gap renormalization, state-filling, and carrier-carrier scattering inherent to charge-imbalanced electron-hole systems.
